Beware of Worms My Dear Friends

My great friend and musical brother A.Bogs has traveled far away from the Brooklyn swamps to blossom into a gallant rose in the swamp town of Rochester NY. His music is sounding stronger than ever and there is even a huge worm hanging around his neck just to make sure it all goes well. Check out this great video shot by artist Robert Frank. This is simply amazing!

i quit

last night i dreamt i quit my job
i showed up wearing only my boxer briefs
i carried my uniform into the office and threw it at the dispatcher
it hit him on the face

i laughed and he laughed
i told them i was leaving and never coming back
i left feeling really fulfilled
the feeling lasted for only a day or so

it felt so good
it felt so damn good
it felt so damn good
i really want to write songs

These have got to be the weirdest toys Ive ever seen. My daughter seems to be impressed; I'm just weirded out.

Jack Rose on My Mind

Lately, I have been revisiting the sad news of the passing of Jack Rose. Jack Rose, an extremely talented musician with a passion for the old and a warm heart that could makes its way through any melancholic chord he played. He was a master primitive who was relentless in his search to continue to transform his guitar playing and always struck me as someone I would someday meet and become very good friends with.
For some reason his passing, although it has been some time ago, has recently prompted me to reflect on this. I hope I can figure out why that is.
